On 23 April 2010, Governor
Jan Brewer signed into law what some are calling the toughest illegal immigration
law in the United States. There have been many media reports and lots of
misleading information about the new law. Approximately 7% of ArizonaÕs residents are in the United
States illegally. Many people feel this brings a huge tax burden to the legal taxpayers
of Arizona. Out of this frustration,
the representatives in the Arizona Senate drafted and enacted AZ SB1070.
